Structure of a Composite Part for Enclosing a Corner Opening

Disclosed is a metal-plastic composite part for enclosing
a corner opening (3D open) of a housing.  This part has several
layers: an adhesive layer, an inner plastic layer, a metal layer and
a reinforcement layer of plastic, as shown in Fig. 1.

The reinforcement layer has a slit along its center line so
that the part can be bent around the slit as shown in Fig. 2.  This
part is a plate attached before to the corner open of a housing.

The metal layer can keep the shape of the part after being bent
as well as prevent electric noise from emitting or entering from or
into the housing.  The inner plastic layer prevents contamination,
e.g., stain, from entering the housing.
