Abstract

By handling information in the time sequence of each input character of text, it is possible to display the text in corresponding colors that help the user to understand it.

Method of Displaying Text Data by using Time Sequence Information

       By handling information in the time sequence of each
input character of text, it is possible to display the text in
corresponding colors that help the user to understand it.

      For the user of a program that displays textual data, such as a
text editor, the colors of the characters are important information
for understanding the contents.  In addition, the user normally wants
to look at or move to parts of text that have been input recently.

      Accordingly, the following ideas are disclosed:
(1) To attach time sequence information, such as an order or a time,
to each input character of text
(2) To display each character of text in a color determined by its
time sequence information.

      By using these ideas, it is possible, for example, to display
recently input characters more brightly than older characters.
