Hot Blade Thermal Output Measurement Method

      Hot Blade Thermal Output Measurement Method quantifies the
magnitude and the distribution of the thermal output of Hot Blades
used for soldering gull wing surface mounted electronic devices.

      Temperature-sensitive paper (1) is positioned on top of
thermally insulating test firing station (2).  Heat distribution
plate (3) is positioned on top of temperature-sensitive paper (1).
Hot blades (4) are positioned on top of heat distribution plate (3)
and the blades are fired creating a thermal "footprint" (6) on the
temperature-sensitive paper (1).  Min/Max thermal output scribed
overlay (5) is superimposed on thermal "footprint" (6) on
temperature-sensitive paper (1) for thermal output analysis.
