Open Front Air Filter

Described is a snap-on frame with a dust filter being
accessible from the front for ease of cleaning.

Referring to the figure, the frame 1 is of a simple mold with a
specified number of projecting fins 2.  Each fin is profiled to hook
inside the front bezel 3 after being inserted through existing air
grooves 4 and rotated counter-clockwise.  With flexing of the ribs
between the air grooves, raised spherical tenons 5 on the fins
securely anchor the frame 1 to the bezel 3.  The air filter 6 is
inserted into a provided frame pocket from the front.  Full surface
visibility of the filter enhances visual feedback for frequency of
cleaning and ease of retrieval.
