Interactive Batch Debug Automatic Regression Command Interpreter

      Disclosed is a concept to allow interactive or automatic debug
of a program/application along with the capability to automatically
regress the program/application using an interpretive symbolic
processor.

      The concept allows integrating the interpretive symbolic
processor directly into the application, thereby making it an
integral part of the application.  The interpreter can, therefore,
have direct access to functions within the application being
developed with minimal interface code.  The interpreter supports a
base set of commands to give it a basic language capability.  In
addition, the user may add commands with a minimum of effort to
access, pass control or interrogate application functions.  With a
minimum of effort, the user may also make information within the
application available and accessible to the interpreter such that the
interpreter may display or process the information.  A symbolic
facility is supplied to allow commands and parameters to commands to
be passed through symbolic variables and resolved during
tokenization.  Symbols may be assigned the information returned from
a command.  A parameter may be composed of more than a single symbol,
a symbol whose value may be another symbol or a command to execute
embedded in the parameter or in a symbol.  The tokenizer operates
