Currently, there is no method for a user to instantly customize a window while in an application. There are times when a user would like to change the title bar text, take off the action bar, the DIL, and the tool bar for individual windows, instead of all of the windows in the application. This invention does just that.

Instant Window Customization

       Currently, there is no method for a user to instantly
customize a window while in an application.  There are times when a
user would like to change the title bar text, take off the action
bar, the DIL, and the tool bar for individual windows, instead of all
of the windows in the application.  This invention does just that.

      This article describes an interface that allows the user to
make instantaneous modifications to a window while in an application.
The unique feature of this window customization is that the user can
customize while using each individual window in the system instead of
going to a special and separate tool that only allows options to be
changed for the entire set of windows in the application, or in the
entire operating system.

      Using this unique interface, the user may use mouse button two
to customize the window in the following ways:
1.  Mouse button two click on the title bar will make the title bar
text editable. The user can change the text, and then a mouse button
one click anywhere else will save the changes.
2.  Mouse button two click on the menu bar will put the menus into
customization mode, so that the user can change menu wording, if
desired.
3.  Mouse button two drag will allow the Information area of the
window to be dragged to the shredder, thus removing it from the
