Cover Liner Assembly

This article describes features in a liner and top cover
which facilitate the installation (assembly) of the liner into the
top cover.

In the drawings Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the cover/liner
assembly up-side down.  The liner 1 is shown installed into the top
cover 2.  Thinnerman-type clip locations are shown at 11.

Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the liner 1 viewed from the
rear of the system unit.  The ultimate wall angle of 10o is shown at
3.  Rectangular relief openings 4 are designed into the liner 1.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the alignment of the
key hole slot 5 in the liner 1 and top cover 2.

Fig. 4 is an enlarged perspective view showing the liner 1
assembled to cover 2.  Rectangular relief openings are shown at 4.
They conform to the cover radius corner as shown at 7.  The top cover
hooks shown at 8 bite the cover 2 through rectangular openings 9.  An
"H" pattern securing feature is shown at 10.

The installation/assembly of the liner 1 into the top cover is
facilitated by the present design.  The liner side surfaces are
designed for the ultimate assembly angle (10o) that minimizes the
deflective installation forces.  Along with both side walls at 10o,
rectangular relief openings 4 are located (four on the right, six on
the left) to minimize the installation effort.  These ten rectangular
openings conform to the cover corners and provide the clear...
