Robust Method of Setting the Right/Left Hand Properties for a Mouse

Current operating systems do not grant the user the ability to
easily change the right/left hand properties through the GUI, and the
directional arrow bitmap cannot be changed at all.

With existing software, if the user is given the ability to
change the right/left hand properties on a mouse, the method for
doing so is usually awkward, and time consuming.  There should be a
better, more intuitive way.  There should also be a way to change the
mouse pointer so it doesn't point backwards for a left-hand user.

This disclosure gives the user the ability to change the
right/left hand properties for a mouse in a very intuitive, efficient
manner.

Through the GUI the ability to select right/left hand
properties will be presented.  Once the user makes the appropriate
selection (i.e., right/left), all properties for the selection will
automatically go into effect.  With only one selection all of the
following could be set:
      * Mouse pointer bitmap, pointing in the correct direction (this
currently cannot be changed in an operation system).
      * Timings.
      * Mouse button mappings, the correct button to:
          - Drag objects.
          - Display popup windows.
          - Display window lists.
          - Editing title text.

There should be defaults supplied which the user can easily
modify.  Inc...
