Notebook Tabs as Source Location for Drag/Drop Operations

This article describes an interface that allows the user
to directly manipulate notebook pages using standard drag drop
mechanisms.  The unique feature of this invention is that the user
can directly manipulate a notebook page using the tab provided by the
notebook control to represent the notebook page.

A typical use of this invention involves the following:
1.  The user chooses a notebook page to discard or print, for
example.
2.  The user initiates a drag operation on the page by selecting the
tab using the appropriate mouse button.
3.  The user drags the tab to the desired target location, such as
the shredder or printer.

The user could use this same interface to do more complex
operations such as:
      - Reordering the pages in the notebook.
      - Moving the page to a different notebook.
      - Sending the data on the page to another user.
      - Copying the data on the page to their calendar.
