Stackable Circuit Card Packaging within a Logic Cage

       A means to mechanically package and support circuit cards
so they can be stacked vertically, in an over/under fashion, within a
single logic cage card position is disclosed.  A means of
implementation is shown in the figure.

      A shell 1 is used to hold two or more cards 2.  The shell
1 provides several features:
1) To hold the cards 2, which may or may not be in a distinct
package 3, when one or more of the cards 2 are not installed.
2) Offers primary connector alignment between the cards 2 and the
backpanel 4, especially when the second card is not installed in a
card position.  It is assumed the shell 1 has been positioned by some
means (not described here) to provide this initial alignment of the
card connectors 5 with respect to the backpanel 4.  Final card
connector alignment 6 may be done independent of the shell.
3) Offers electromagnetic interference shielding 7 of cards.
4) Contains and directs airflow 8 around the cards.
