Abstract

A new button is added to a normal pager. When pressed, the pager will take the number currently displayed on the LCD panel located on the top portion of the unit and determine the proper sequence/frequency of tones to be emitted. That sequence is sent to a speaker located on the outer side of the pager. The speaker will emit the tones into the receiver of a normal phone, thus causing the displayed number to be dialed.

Pager Auto-Dial Option

A new button is added to a normal pager.  When pressed, the
pager will take the number currently displayed on the LCD panel
located on the top portion of the unit and determine the proper
sequence/frequency of tones to be emitted.  That sequence is sent to
a speaker located on the outer side of the pager.  The speaker will
emit the tones into the receiver of a normal phone, thus causing the
displayed number to be dialed.

With this option the user of a pager can automatically dial a
number that is currently displayed by the pager.  This is performed
by placing the pager on the phone's receiver and pressing the dial
button on the pager.
