Abstract

Disclosed is the display, on a program window screen, of objects, or icons, representing multiple printers, along with icons representing various documents. Various printer objects may represent the same or different physical printers, or a printer queue. Various printer objects can have the same or different printer properties or job properties, such as portrait printing, landscape printing, or various paper sizes. Using a mouse, the icon representing any document can be dragged and dropped on any individual printer object, causing the document represented by the icon to be printed on the printer object, using the properties which have been associated with the printer.
