Abstract

Disclosed is a method of calendar navigation via any desired logical entity. This system defines a new syntax for calendar navigation which enables the user to quickly navigate to the desired location in the calendar. This system uses a time-windowed key separation technique to recognize the user command, using the following syntax:

      Disclosed is a method of calendar navigation via any desired
logical entity.  This system defines a new syntax for calendar
navigation which enables the user to quickly navigate to the desired
location in the calendar.  This system uses a time-windowed key
separation technique to recognize the user command, using the
following syntax:

  SU  Proceed forward to the next Sunday

  SU- Proceed backward to the previous Sunday

  MO  Proceed forward to the next Monday

  MO- Proceed backward to the previous Monday

  TU  Proceed forward to the next Tuesday

  TU- Proceed backward to the previous Tuesday

  WE  Proceed forward to the next Wednesday

  WE- Proceed backward to the previous Wednesday

  TH  Proceed forward to the next Thursday

  TH- Proceed backward to the previous Thursday

  FR  Proceed forward to the next Friday

  FR- Proceed backward to the previous Friday

  SA  Proceed forward to the next Saturday

  SA- Proceed backward to the previous Saturday

  WK  Proceed forward to the same day next week

  WK- Proceed backward to the same day last week

  MT  Proceed forward to the same day next month

  MT- Proceed backward to the same day last month

  YR  Proceed forward to the same day next year

  YR- Proceed backward to the same day last year
