Method for Automatic Contextual Transposition upon Receipt of Item
of Specified Criteria

Disclosed is means for allowing a user to configure criteria of
which will be compared to inbound mail distributions for the purpose
of automatically invoking a specified application context.

Often a user wants to be notified when an important particular
type of mail item arrives.  The user must manually check items as
they arrive.  A method is needed for setting up criteria for which
mail items which meet the criteria cause an automatic jump to the
mail item in the inbasket.  The method should be generic so that any
application and context therein is automatically invoked upon
detection of appropriate mail item criteria.

Configurable criteria may include source address wildcards,
subject matter wildcard, string criteria contained in any
distribution fields or content, specified attributes, or conjunctive
predicates thereof as well as combinations thereof.  The user then
specifies an arbitrary application and context therein (e.g.,
inbasket processing) which will be automatically invoked should one
or more mail items arrive at any time with the specified criteria.

Essential Elements and Their Relationships:

         - Originator marking and reference (e.g., naming) of an
           application context.

         - Originator configures criteria for detection in inbound
           mail distributions.
