A program is disclosed to generate government requisition and
invoice/ shipping documents via a personal computer and transmit
these forms electronically via OfficeVision* for processing,
signature authorization and distribution.  This program is
password-controlled, menu-supported, provides for a database and
allows for the authorizing signature to be printed out on the
document (Figure).

Use is made of government requisition and invoice/shipping
documents (DD1149's) to transfer/ship and track government property
on site.  This document is generated on a personal computer and
transferred electronically to Property Control for processing and
approval.  Property Control then transmits this document, with
signature authorization, back to the originator.  Signatures of
authorizing Property Control personnel are initially scanned into the
program.  The originator then distributes this document
electronically.  For government property shipping from IBM to another
destination, the DD149 is transmitted to the Traffic department.
Upon shipment, the Traffic department adds the shipping information
to the DD1149 and makes distribution electronically.  The DD1149
program is password-controlled to ensure authorization integrity.
Hardcopies (with authorizing signature) are printed out on an IBM
3812 Laser Printer.  The program is menu-supported and user-friendly.
The data base allows for quick access to history files with
