Abstract

Prior methods provide mechanisms to schedule a meeting using computer software such as electronic office, e.g., Office Vision*. This requires a meeting notice to be created and distributed prior to scheduling a meeting on users' calendars. Often times exchanging notes is a way of communicating the intention of scheduling a meeting among users. Eventually, users agree on a date and time for a meeting. Next, the meeting information must be extracted from the note by a person, e.g., a secretary, to generate a meeting notice and distribute to the invitee list.

This requires a meeting notice to be created and distributed prior to
scheduling a meeting on users' calendars.  Often times exchanging
notes is a way of communicating the intention of scheduling a meeting
among users.  Eventually, users agree on a date and time for a

searches for specific keywords, e.g., date, time, number of
attendees, required equipment, name of the attendees, duration of
the meeting, and any other other meeting-related information that
can be extracted from the note.

o   Conference Room Scheduler Service - searches a repository of
