Delete Activated Camp-on Calendar Mechanism

Users desire the ability to "camp-on" on other users' calendars
for when a time slot may become available.  This article discloses a
method for notifying users when an electronic calendar slot becomes
available.

A user requesting a currently occupied time slot can create a
"camp-on" request.  The request when received by the specified
calendar user's service, activates a semaphore mechanism.  Thus, when
the calendar user deletes the calendar event, a notification is sent
to the requesting party and the requesting event is posted to the
specified user's calendar.  This method provides an advantage over
monitor techniques to determine if a calendar slot is available.  It
provides an event notification mechanism when the delete calendar
event occurs.
