Interface Adapter for Diskbank

      The interface adapter originally provided for a diskbank used
for loading multiple PC diskettes used a 40-pin edge connector that
is not compatible with newer PC models.  An adapter was required that
would permit the diskbank to interface with both old and new PCs, as
well as high-density 4MB diskette drives The enhanced diskbank
interface adapter, disclosed here, satisfies these requirements.

      Disclosed is an enhanced interface adapter that adds a 34-pin
Berg header attachment to the buffer/pull card used to amplify and
condition the diskette drive interface signals.  This change permits
the diskbank to interface both with the new 34-pin Berg connector C1
and the 40-pin edge connect or C2 originally disclosed.  With the
addition of connector C2, the number of wires used also increases to
provide the additional signals needed to accommodate media sense an
the 4MB drives.  Connector C3 to the diskbank is the resulting 34-pin
interface.

      Fig. 1 shows the current interface pinout compared to the
interface originally disclosed.  A summary of the changes is shown
