Method for Phone-Equipped Work Station Distribution Reply Processing

      Provided is an automated method for placing a phone call as the
result of receiving an electronic mail distribution.

      A user may send an electronic mail distribution to a recipient
because of not being able to get in touch with the user by phone.
The user prefers to communicate by phone to save time typing text in
a note, especially if new questions are raised from either party.  A
method is needed for allowing the sender of an electronic mail
distribution to make it convenient and obvious for a recipient to
reply with a phone call.

      Provided is a reply processing option which may be established
by the originator of an electronic mail distribution.  At the time of
setting such an option, the user specifies a time period for which a
telephone call is preferred.  The user's telephone number and time
criteria is automatically attached to the distribution.  A
supplementary embodiment will automatically interface to a connected
calendar system for automatic determination of times the user will be
in his office.  The user can reconcile the determined times with a
simple mouse point and shoot interface.  When the distribution is
sent and then received by the recipient (a second user), and the
recipient replies to it, forwards it back to the originator or
resends it back to the originator, the receiving system aspect
