Customizing the LAN NetView Fix Action Table

Disclosed is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for customizing
the LAN NetView Fix Action Table.  This GUI is called the Action
Table Editor.  The Action Table is used to tell the Fix program what
action to invoke for received events.  The disclosed GUI allows users
to customize the Action Table to suit their needs and their network
environment.

The Fix Action Table contains the criteria (called event
patterns) against which received events are compared.  An Action
Table event pattern consists of the following criteria:

1.  System - the system name that must be contained in an incoming

2.  Resource class - the resource class that must be contained in an
incoming event in order for that event to match this event
    pattern.

3.  Event type - the event type that must be contained in an incoming
event in order for that event to match this event pattern.

4.  Time range - the time range that the time in an incoming event

pattern.  The time range consists of the following fields:

    a.  Time from - beginning time for the time range.
    b.  Time to - ending time for the time range.

For each event pattern, the Action Table Editor allows the user
to define up to ten actions that are to be invoked when the Fix
program receives an event...
