LAN NetView Fix Registration/Deregistration Progress and Status

Disclosed is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for displaying
the progress and status of local or remote policy registration or
deregistration.

The Fix program has two types of policies: remote and local.
In order for the Fix program to receive notifications from managed
workstations, both local and remote policies must be customized and
started.

Remote policies specify the set of notifications that the Fix
program requests managed workstations to send to the managing
workstation where the Fix program is installed.  Remote policies are
associated with management collections; that is, a separate remote
policy must be set up for each management collection in order for the
systems in that management collection to send their notifications to
the Fix program.  A management collection is a group of workstations
that are to be managed.  The user can add/delete workstations to/from

program initiates event deregistration operations.  These operations
are not visible to the user; therefore, there needs to be a way for
the user to see how the LAN NetView Fix event
registration/deregistration operations are progressing and whether
these operations were successful or not.

This disclosure addresses a GUI that will display the following
information to the user indicating the status of an event
registration/ deregistration operation.  Status of the
registration/deregistration is shown on each...
