Application Interface for Managing Group-Specific DCDB Area

Disclosed is an interface for managing the group areas of the
domain controller database.

In some Network Operation Systems (NOS), each group is given a
separate directory under the DCDB directory.  This directory, located
at "ibmlan/dcdb/groups", is utilized whenever a group is assigned
logon assignments or desktop network applications.  However, if the
contents of the directory tree become corrupted, or if an
administrator wants to re-initialize assignments or applications for
a group, there is no method of removing and re-building the directory
tree and its contents.  An administrator must physically delete the
tree, and if needed reconstruct the database files from backup copies
(if available).

A new Application Programming Interface (API),
NetGroupDCDBInit, was created to allow an administrator to
programmatically initialize a group's DCDB directory.  The full
directory tree is constructed, with access control applied, and
default logon assignments and desktop application definitions added.
By using this API, an administrator can re-build a corrupted group
database.  The API can also be used to remove a group from the
database.  In either case, knowledge of the physical location or
structure of the database is unnecessary.

The API can be remoted to any domain, so that an administrator
can manage multiple domains without logging off/into each domain.
The API is defined as follows.
