      Disclosed is a program that makes it possible to input a
difficult Kanji character which has a complicated shape by inputting
similar Kanji characters which have the same elements.

Purpose - This invention enables the inputting of difficutl Kanji
characters for reading.

      A difficut Kanji character to be read can be inputted by
inputting several Kanji characters which have the same elements, and
browsing the reduced candidate list.

Characteristics -

      (a) Difficult Kanji characters can be inputted, although the
operator may not know Yomi, Bushu name (Kanji element name), Kakusuu
(the number of strokes to write) and Kanji code.

      (b) Difficult Kanji characters to be read can be inputted, only
if the operator knows similar Kanji characters.

      (c) The candidates are reduced by specifying Kanji characters.
In the worst case, the method is the same as the Kanji code list.

Components - The method consists of a Kanji element dictionary and
its retrival program.

      (1) Kanji element dictionary.  A Kanji character can be divided
into its elements including Bushu.  Kanji characters and their
elements, with element cost, are in the dictionary.

      (2) Retrieval program of Kanji element dictionary.  The program
can retrieve in two ways, from a Kanji character to its elements and
from an element to Kanji cha...
