Foam Frame Seal

This invention involves a flexible, compliant cover or shield 1
that attaches to the tape cartridge front access door 2 and addresses
the dust contamination scenario.  The device is made of a transparent
polyester material having a form border 3 around the outer perimeter
facing the front door.  There is an adhesive attachment of the front
face of the dust cover to the front periphery of the cartridge
compartment access door.

When the door is closed, the dust cover is flat against the
front face of the drive.  As the door opens, the dust cover travels
with the door.

This device serves as an effective seal against dust intrusion
with the door closed.  It can be attached to a machine in the field
as well as in newly built machines.
