Memory Mouse

Disclosed is a mouse pointing device for personal computers
having wireless communication capability and the addition of memory
such that stored programs and data can be transferred from a computer
to its mouse and transferred back to the same computer or another
computer with appropriate communications and systems management
protocol.  Unique features of this invention are a wireless computer
mouse having bi-directional communication capability; the addition of
memory to the mouse (capable of storing one or more programs that
would enable the mouse to interact with programs in a computer); the
capability of the mouse receiving programs and data from a computer
via the wireless interface; and a computer program that allows
interaction with the mouse such that objects (such as data and
programs) stored within an allied program can be sent to, received
by, and stored within the mouse.

In the Figure, the memory mouse 10 and its supporting computer
hardware 12 include:

o   Non-volatile memory 14 in the mouse 10 used to store the
information that the mouse 10 would transfer from computer 12 to
another computer (not shown) and larger ROM capacity 16 to hold
    loadable executables.

o   Mouse LED infrared transmitter 18 for transmitting data and
programs to the receiving computer 12.

o   Mouse infrared sensor 20 for receiving data from the transmitting
    computer 12.

o   An interface to the computer 12 that consists of...
