      Disclosed is "Software Bill of Material (S/W BM)" which is
integration of database system and Graphical User Interface (GUI).
Database in S/W BM keeps information on workstations (both hardware
and software), customer configurations and troubles/hints.  GUI
utilize the drag-drop operation of objects and provides an easy way
to update database records.

This system helps when designing and/or reviewing Client-Server
system environment.

      This Database provides a variety of valuable information, such
as,

o   basic product information,

o   valid (supported) combination of products,

o   customer system configuration including hardware and software
    configurations,

o   trouble information, hints and tips,

o   a list of customers using a specific product, etc.

      Users can access S/W BM through full-graphical user interface,
which converts graphical images to/from database records.  For
example, users can access customer configuration databases in the
format of charts which includes network and workstations, and by
clicking the specific object, detailed information can be viewed.  If
a user modifies the chart, add workstations, etc., corresponding
database records are automatically updated.

      If the user configures an invalid (unsupported) combination,
the system displays a warning message and prompts the user to correct
