Locking Clip

Described is a flexible contact spring having a first slot,
through which a tab extends from a frame member to hold the spring in
place within a second slot in the frame member.

The Figure is a perspective view of a flexible contact spring
10, including a cantilever section 12 and an attachment section 14,
which is clipped into a slot 16 of a frame member 18.  Attachment
section 14 includes a slot 20 through which a tab 22 extends from
frame member 18, holding the spring 10 in place and in engagement
with the frame member.

Flexible spring 10 may be used, for example, to provide
reliable electrical contact between frame member 10 and an adjacent
conductive frame or cover member.  Such contact is often needed to
reduce Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from an electronic device
associated with the frame.
