Magnetic Head Protective Cover

Disclosed is a device to protect a movable tape magnetic head
from damage during shipping and handling

A headbeam cover assembly to latch onto the outhouse front
skirt and provides a downward impinging force onto the head beam, so
that the head beam is being depressed or lowered to touch against the
lower crash stop.  This will prevent the head beam from moving up and
down during shipping and at the same time provides a protective cover
for the delicate head beam assembly.  The body of the cover is
latched onto the outhouse front skirt with a squeezable clothes pin
like clamp to ensure adequate fastening of the cover against a fixed
structure.  A very simple cover design is achieved that is:
  1.  Easy to install and remove
  2.  Protects the magnetic head beam assembly
  3.  Provides a downward impinging force to suppress head beam
      vibration.
