Architecture for Graphic Easy Software Install Management Interface

      Disclosed is the general structure for a graphical user
interface application to support a defaulted software installation
that is composed of a standard set of building blocks.  This visual
structure may be used for any system administrator or user to install
a predetermined set of software objects from available input devices.

      This architecture is a unique organization of common Visual
Systems Management objects and two unique objects.  The unique
objects are:  bundles of software and notebook of the contents and
size of the bundle.  The objects in common with the Visual Systems
Management application are:  iconic object list, the information
area,
schedule application, switch user application and application help.

      The basic principle of the Graphic Easy Software Install is the
simplification of choices.  Two primary factors determine software
choice of installation: input device and selected software objects.
The software objects available to the user is first determined by
which tape or CD-ROM the user has access to.  The second level of
choice is which software objects from those available are desired or
required for operation of the system.  The decision on parameter
settings for installation has been eliminated by defaulting the
parameters and shielding them from the user's view.  The
