Flex Cable Ground Spring

A spring that provides the flex cable grounding to the base
casting of a disk drive is described.

A flex cable that utilizes a spring for grounding to the base
casting is shown in the Figure.  The spring is soldered to the flex
cable.  During drive assembly the spring is compressed when the top
cover is attached and the compression force against the base casting
provides an electrical ground.
