Hard Disk Drive Structure for Base Rigidity Improvement

      Disclosed is a structure for base rigidity improvement in Hard
Disk Drive (HDD).  Enough rigidity can be obtained for servo control
by this structure in low-profile HDD, without both end type pivot.

The component in this structure is shown in Fig. 1, and it has
special features as follows:
  1.  There is a rib to increase base rigidity inside the enclosure,
       not outside.
  2.  The rib is connected one side wall with another side wall
       thorough actuator pivot area.
  3.  The top yoke of the VCM or top cover is not used as the top end
       of the pivot.

Using these components, other modified structures are possible to
increase base rigidity.
  A. The top yoke of the VCM is fastened with a rib and side wall of
      the base.
  B. The top end of the pivot is connected with one part of the rib
as
      shown in Fig. 2.
