Micro-Quantitative Analysis Cell

      Disclosed is a device for quantitative analysis of micro
contamination, combined with IR spectroscopy.

      The Figure shows the example of this device.  This cell is made
of IR- transparent material, such as Si, ZnS, KRS-5, etc.  A small
concavity but a little bit larger than IR beam spot is made in the
middle of the cell.  Extracts from contaminated samples, such as hard
disks, and plastics are dropped into the concavity for IR analysis,
with the extracts localized just on IR irradiation area.  The surface
of the concavity should be smooth by optical polishing..
