Integrated Services Digital Network Wrap Plug with Attenuator

      An Integrated Services Digital Network wrap plug that tests
marginal I/O adapter cards is disclosed.  Resistors are inserted in
the transmit data path to represent 6 DB of attenuation.

      In an ISDN network, the amplitude of data can fluctuate, due to
attenuation (load) on the network.  Adding resistors (1) to the
transmit data lines (2) will simulate this load during a wrap test,
providing a better indication of problems with marginally good
adapter cards (Fig. 1).

      As shown in Fig. 2, the RJ45 plug (3), circuit board (4), the
load resistors (1), and other components are all encased in a plastic
or other protective housing (5).
