Abstract

The Thermal Conduction Module (TCM) Cam Verify Gauge checks the TCMs for proper cam location in the TCM board. The gauge tells the operator whether or not the TCM's have been seated correctly and if a camming operation is required. This gauge replaces a previous model that had serious design problems. The old gauge would indicate a cammed condition even if the TCMs were uncammed.

Thermal Conduction Module Cam Verify Gauge

The Thermal Conduction Module (TCM) Cam Verify Gauge checks the
TCMs for proper cam location in the TCM board.  The gauge tells the
operator whether or not the TCM's have been seated correctly and if a
camming operation is required.  This gauge replaces a previous model
that had serious design problems.  The old gauge would indicate a
cammed condition even if the TCMs were uncammed.

This new gauge has improved reliability, as well as improved
function.  It is smaller and lighter than the previous model, and
requires no removal of parts in order to get to the TCMs (the old
style required that the machine be powered off, and the water/oil
hoses removed before one could check the integrity of the cam).

This new tool is currently being used world wide on all models of ES
9000* mainframes.
