On-Screen Display for Liquid Crystal Display Adjustment

Disclosed is an easy Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) adjustment
method which displays adjustment items (Brightness, Contrast,
Vertical/ Horizontal position etc.) on the LCD Panel.  A user can
adjust LCD Panel easily with seeing adjustment value/items on the
panel.  The number of switches, LEDs can be reduced as well.

Fig. 1 shows the example of this hardware configuration.
Switch inputs are processed in the controller and controller
generates adjustment signals to the video processing circuit.  On
Screen display Generator generates adjustment item/value data which
are shown on the LCD screen based on switch selections.  Both signals
are mixed together and displayed on the LCD Panel at the same time
(Fig. 2).  Therefore, user can select the adjustment item and its
value with using only one or two switches (ex. select item SW and
select value SW) easily and quickly.
