Disk Clamp Method Using Flat Steel Plate and Spacer

      Disclosed is a disk clamping design used in a hard disk drive
using a very simple top clamp plate and a spacer.

The Figure shows this clamping design.  The features of this design
are:
  1.  The contact condition on the disk is a flat spacer.
  2.  the spacer is clamped by a simple flat plate spring.

The advantages of this design follow:
  1.  Disk clamping condition is an area contact, not a line contact.
  2.  Clamping diameter is defined clearly at the outer edge of the
       spacer.
  3.  Disk waviness caused by the screw fastening is much improved.
  4.  Simple design contributes to the low-cost parts.
