Door Movement Mechanism for Personal Computer

      Disclosed is a mechanism for moving a externally hinged door
with sliding feature of PC.  An operating panel as the interface of
the Personal Computer (PC) usually provides a hinged door for data
access securing and have good appearance.

      The details of the subject invention can be explained, by using
attached Figure, as follows:
  The door (1) connected to operating panel (2) by molded-in axis
(3) moves only within the angle range of 0 degree to 90 degrees.
Hinge (4) provided in the door is fastened into the axis and moved
along the slot of door.  Accordingly, the door can be slid at 90
degrees opened position.
  Two hinges are linked by two pivotable sticks (5).  The middle
spring (6) is fixed on the end of two sticks.  The tension of spring
is conducted to each hinge and carries its dead-end of the slot.  The
door is set alternately at the front or rear position.
  These pivotable sticks are also effective to slide the door
easily without sticking.  By means of this mechanism, hinged door is
opened to 90 degrees and slid front to rear side smoothly.
