Charge Coupled Device Camera Unit with Stand and Tilt Mechanism of
Personal Computer

This article describes a stand and tilt mechanism for a Charge
Coupled Device (CCD) camera unit which is mounted on the (PC)
Personal
Computer.  This CCD camera unit is detachable and is equipped with
the
stand and tilt mechanism.

This unit has a capability of rotating camera direction and
adjusting camera angle (Fig. 1).  Using this capability, the CCD
camera unit can be used for several applications, i.e., taking a
picture
of scene, monitoring a person, reading a document, and so on (Fig.
2).

This unit is very light and compact, as it consists of simple
parts such as plastic cover and beam wire.  Therefore, this CCD
camera unit can be mounted into the notebook PC without spoiling its
portability (Fig. 3).
