Method and Application Interface for Managing Remote Initial Program
Load Client Profiles

      Disclosed is a method for managing Remote Initial Program Load
(RIPL) client profiles.

      In some Network Operating Systems (NOSs), a remote workstation
may be IPLed from a central server machine.  In the previous art, the
configuration of the client machine could only be controlled through
the use of several standalone applications.

      New Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) were developed to
improve the configurability of remote IPL workstations.  These
interfaces are described as follows:
  API_FUNCTION
  NetCreateRIPLMachine (PUCHAR Server,
                        ULONG  Level,
                        PUCHAR Buffer,
                        ULONG  Buflen);
  API_FUNCTION
  NetDeleteRIPLMachine (PUCHAR Server,
                        PUCHAR MachineName);
  API_FUNCTION
  NetEnumRIPLMachine (PUCHAR Server,
                      ULONG  Level,
                      ULONG  Type,
                      PUCHAR Buffer,
                      ULONG  Buflen,
                      ULONG  EntriesReturned,
                      ULONG  EntriesAvailable);
  API_FUNCTION
  NetGetRIPLMachineInfo (PUCHAR Server,
