Slide Dampening for Magnetics Settletime Minimization

A means for mechanically dampening a slide system to minimize
the settletime from move to move is disclosed.

The Figure shows a plastic pad 1, springloaded 2, to the side
of the slide 3.  The pad takes up any unnecessary spaces and voids in
the system and provides a minimal frictional load when moved.  In
turn, however, it creates a side preload taking out any of the "free"
action, thereby eliminating uncontrolled oscillations.
