Triple-Twisted Bulk Cable

A multiple triple-twisted conductor bulk cable is disclosed.
Triple-twisted conductors are used to create a multiple conductor
bulk cable.  Using the triple-twisted conductors results in a
reduction of overall cable diameter by one-third.

This triple-twisted wire (1) is depicted in a possible bulk
cable construction (cross-section view).  The jacket insulation
material (2) can be made of many different materials depending on the
temperature, insulation requirements and/or application.  Some
typical materials are poly vinyl chloride (PVC) or Teflon*.  The
triple-twisted conductors (3) are shown as groups of three wires.  In
this bulk cable are 32 groups of the triple-twisted conductors
(Figure).
