A remarkable point is a compact size of the Module with a successful design even if it has a spare fiber cable for maintenance. The module consists of Adopters, Connectors, Optical Fiber Cable and Module Case.

Compact Optical Connector Module

      Disclosed is a design of a connector module which is a
component of an optical trunk cable.  The module has a function to
connect a Trunk Cable and Jumper cables in optics.  A remarkable
point is a compact size of the Module with a successful design even
if it has a spare fiber cable for maintenance.  The module consists
of Adopters, Connectors, Optical Fiber Cable and Module Case.

      Fig. 1 shows the outlook of the Trunk Cable.  The module size
is important from the cable installation process.  A compact module
has an advantage to make an easy installation or to expand an
environment for installation.

      The connector module shown in Fig. 2 is a standard design.  In
the module case, the Connectors, which are assembled at the end of
the fiber cable, are inserted to the Adopters.  Basically, adequate
spare fiber cable is required to set in the module for maintenance
after installation, and it has to satisfy a minimum bend radius to
keep an optical characteristics.  Therefore, the module is obliged to
design a large size.

      Fig. 3 shows a compact size Connector Module which is designed
to set the spare fiber between the Adopter and the Module case.
