For former Japanese word processors, the user has to watch two
or three indicators on the screen to know 'what kind of character' is
going to appear on screen when a character-key is pressed:
  A.  Typefaces menu and Font size menu.

Those menus are usually represented in drop-down boxes so that
user can select a typeface/font-size easily by pointing a device.
  Examples:
  +----------------------------+---+  +-----+---+

  +----------------------------+---+  +-----+---+

To show a menu for typeface/font-size, user has to click in a
square area represented as 'V' above.  Drop-down boxes will be

  | Heisei-Gothic              +---+  |  19 +---+
  | Solid-Mincho               |   |  |  18 |   |
  | Solid-Gothic               +---+  |  17 +---+

  | Gothic Bold                +---+  |  13 +---+

  +----------------------------+---+  +-----+---+

Current typeface/font-size can be changed by clicking one of the
choices.
