Penoxsulam and its Use as a Herbicide in Mixtures for use in Rice, Wheat, Barley, Oats, Sorghum, Corn, Maize, IVM, Rangeland, Pastures, Grasslands, Fallowland, Turf  and Aquatics.

            Penoxsulam (code names: DE-638, XDE-638, DASH-1100; chemical name:  2-(2,2-difluoroethoxy)-6-trifluoromethyl-N-(5,8-dimethoxy[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5c]pyrimidin-2-yl)benzenesulfonamide)

can be applied in conjunction with one or more other herbicides, safeners and/or adjuvants to obtain control of a wider variety of undesirable vegetation. Penoxsulam is xylem and phloem mobile, being absorbed via leaves, roots and stems. Some of the herbicides that can be employed beneficially in combination with penoxsulam include other substituted triazolo­pyrimidine­ sulfon­amide compounds, including diclosulam, florasulam, cloransulam-methyl, metosulam, flumetsulam and DE-742.  In many crops, penoxsulam can be tankmixed or use sequentially with aminopyralid (DE-750, 4-amino-3,6-dichloropyridine-2-carboxylic acid).

Herbicides

Penoxsulam can be formulated with other herbicides, can be tank mixed with other herbicides, safeners and/or adjuvants, or applied sequentially with one or more other herbicides, safeners and/or adjuvants in many different crops or uses. The following herbicidal products can be used with penoxsulam in the following crops and uses:
