New Tab Alignment Mark Design of Liquid Crystal Display Tab

      Disclosed is a new alignment mark for Liquid Crystal
Display/Tape Automated Bonding (LCD/TAB) soldering to prevent
misscanning
even when there is not much clearance between each tab on the LCD.

      The Figure shows the example of this new alignment mark on tab.
Tab quantity on LCD is (8x) for VGA and (10x) for SVGA.  Also, tabs
mount on one side of LCD glass for down-sizing of LCD module.  There
is not much more space for alignment mark than before.  Therefore,
the alignment mark outline is modified from circle to semicircle, as
shown, in order to eliminate mark size due to little clearance
between marks.  Also, misscanning will be eliminated because it is
different from the alignment mark outline on each tab side by side.

      This alignment mark is applicable to the down-sizing of LCDs.
