Graphical Presentation of RMF Host Performance Data with Programmable
Workstation Based Spreadsheet Programs

      Disclosed is a concept to exploit commercially-available
spreadsheet programs for presentation and manipulation of host-based
RMF* performance data.

      Traditional MVS performance management means working with
host-based frontends like ISPF or enter the time consuming process of
studying hardcopy lists.  However, on any PWS powerful features, to
visualize statistical data in most comfortable ways are available.
Once the statistical data is available in a PWS spreadsheet
application (like EXCEL**, LOTUS 1-2-3*** or Quattro Pro), one can
easily generate any graphical data views, or combine the data with
own algorithms for efficient analysis.

      How does one get selected MVS performance data on the local
PWS?  RMF TrendMonitor - a client server solution for MVS Performance
Management - is a powerful feature
  o  to enable a very granular selection of MVS performance data
  o  to transfer the data from the host to the workstation
  o  to convert most RMF Monitor III Data into Lotus 1-2-3 format
  o  to allow for further manipulation and representation of the data
      by any of the well-known spreadsheet products as Lotus 1-2-3,
      Microsoft Excel or Borland Quattro Pro.

      The host data gathering is managed by an existing MVS
