Sensing Mechanism

      In a printer for a Point of Sales (POS) or Electronic Cash
Register (ECR) terminal unit with a paper-end sensor, the mechanism
of the sensor is made up of only the one molded part.

      Referring to Fig. 1 through Fig. 3, the sensor assembly is
composed of a body, a micro-switch and a spring.

      The material for the body is polypropylene and the thickness of
the hinge is 0.25 mm so that the hinge stands up to frequent paper
end sensing actions.
