Abstract

Disclosed is a Stacker which can put plural numbers of Receipts in order on the tray fixed on the Receipt Outlet slit. This Stacker has a V-formed Paper Pass to flatten curled and feed receipts into stackers without any external force but printer feed forces. This mechanism is a necessary function to the operation using plural receipts as Carbon Copy Slips on a Thermal Receipt Journal Printer.

Receipt Stacker

Disclosed is a Stacker which can put plural numbers of Receipts
in order on the tray fixed on the Receipt Outlet slit.  This Stacker
has a

V-formed

Paper

Pass

to flatten curled and feed receipts into
stackers without any external force but printer feed forces.  This
mechanism is a necessary function to the operation using plural
receipts as Carbon Copy Slips on a Thermal Receipt Journal Printer.

The following shows an example of application:

Fig. 1 shows the structure of a Stacker.  The Stacker consists
of three simple elements, Center Rib (1), two Rear Ribs (2), and
Supporter (3).

Fig. 2 shows the stacking process.  Through Receipt Outlet
Slit, Printed paper is fed from printer into Stacker and the top edge
arrives around indicated area (4) where the curl begins to stretch.
Following V-Formed paper pass, the first receipt is stacked in the
stacker and the cut mechanism (5) cuts the bottom of the receipt.
The top of the second receipt runs on to the first one as shown in
(6), and fed on with the same process as the first receipt and cut.

The same process may be repeated until the stacker is filled
with receipt.

Depending on the characteristics of paper and the layout of
center rib and rear ribs, the stacking capacity of Receipt Stacker
can be adjusted with proper range.  So this Stacker can be applied on
all mechanism that handle cut roll paper.
