Duplex Fiber Optic Connector Housing

Disclosed is a new Duplex Fiber Optic Connector Housing (DFOCH)
concept able to meet a 6 axis free movement from one connector
respective to the other and able to be used as two single connectors.

Fig. 1 is the released example for Fiber Channel Standard
(FC-PH) using two single SC (4) connectors.

Detailed hereafter are clip concept (1) and (2) as well as
locking finger (3) and all the six movements axis.

The proposed design is represented Fig. 2 showing the single
clip as well as the assembly and the forces (F1, F2) involved giving
a easy way to clip but also a possibility to unclip the assembly and
to use the connectors as two single elements.
Single connectors with their respective clips have been
designed as shown Figs. 3 and 4.
The proposed assembly concept is shown Fig. 5, with cross
sections (5,6) of the clips (1,2).
  The allowable motions are:
top to bottom motion, right to left motion, rotation to the center
line of the assembly when viewed from the connecting face, rotation
from assembly center point when viewed from the assembly edge,
rotation from the center point, front to end when viewed from the top
by locking finger (3).
