MVS Multiclient Server

Disclosed is a multiclient MVS/ESA* server solution which
relieves resource utilization problems caused by remote client
connections.  The multiclient server implementation lifts the
constraint of an MVS address space started for every unique
connection from a remote client application.

The Multiclient Remote Environment Server (MRES) features include:
o  Processing of multiple clients concurrently.
o  Utilizing one address space for many client connections.
o  Running as a started MVS task under MVS operator control.

The MVS systems programmer creates one or more MRES catalogued
procedures.  Each procedure contains the MVS JCL required to start
the address space, as well as the default values for the various
start up parameters.

The operator starts an MRES address space with the MVS START
command.  These parameters control the MRES environment:
MNC=n           A parameter that specifies the maximum number of
                   communications connections to be processed
                   concurrently.
SWT=hhmmss      A parameter that specifies the shut down wait time
period.  This is the period of time that the MRES
is
to continue processing after receiving the MVS
STOP
                   command.
SNT=hhmmss      A parameter that specifies the time ...
